Happy Mondays are re-issuing their classic 1990 album 'Pills 'N' Thrills and Bellyaches' in a lavish new edition, marking the record's enduring status as a defining release of the Madchester era. The reissue matters to fans of the band as it revisits a landmark work that fused dance beats with indie songwriting, helping shape a distinctive British sound that remains widely imitated but rarely matched.

London Records will release the reissue on 21 August in multiple formats, including a 5LP super deluxe edition, 4CD, 2CD, 1LP, picture disc and cassette versions. Alongside these, a unique gold-coloured pill-shaped capsule has been created using a bespoke dual-colour silk gold PLA filament for a metallic finish resembling a gold bar, and it will be given away via a competition, with the winner's name engraved on a special gold-anodised aluminium card; anyone pre-ordering any format, or who has already purchased one, is automatically entered into the draw.
