Rotherham United have added to their summer rebuild by signing Sheffield United full-back Jili Buyabu on a season-long loan, making him the fifth new arrival at the League Two club since their relegation from League One. The move gives manager Alex Bruce further defensive options as he reshapes the squad ahead of the new campaign, with Buyabu potentially available for selection within the first fortnight of pre-season fixtures.

The 22-year-old has made just two senior appearances for Sheffield United but impressed while on loan at National League side Forest Green Rovers in 2025-26, scoring seven goals in 37 games. He could make his Rotherham debut as early as Saturday, 8 August, when the Millers host West Bromwich Albion in the first round of the EFL Cup.
