Jim James, frontman of My Morning Jacket, has released "Wowed Out," the title track from his forthcoming solo album, and announced a limited solo acoustic tour for 2026. The tour begins on 28 November in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, and marks a rare chance for fans to hear material from across his solo catalogue, My Morning Jacket songs and covers in a stripped-back format, underlining continued interest in James's output outside the band.

The tour will also take in Chicago, New York, Boston, Boulder and Los Angeles, among other stops, with an artist pre-sale opening on 29 July and general tickets going on sale on 31 July via Ticketmaster and James's website. Wowed Out, inspired by Alice Coltrane's spiritual recordings, will be James's first solo album in eight years, following the previously released single "Come Again," and is due out on 28 August. James said a portion of tour proceeds will go to The Ally Coalition, which supports LGBTQ youth organisations, and Arthur's Earth Sanctuary in Louisville.
