‘To Our PC Players, Message Received’: Marvel Tokon Promises Huge Improvements Day One

Push Square · 4 hours ago

The beta test for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a new fighting game from Arc System Works, surfaced significant technical problems for PC players, prompting the developer to publicly commit to a raft of fixes ahead of the game's launch. The move addresses concerns that PC support could once again be a weak point for a PlayStation-published title, given Sony's mixed history with storefronts like Steam, and Arc System Works has been praised for responding quickly to community feedback during the test period.

Among the promised improvements are reduced CPU usage to boost performance, fixes for frame rate drops and lag, a resolution to unnecessary shader compilation at startup, better compatibility with streaming software such as OBS and Discord, and work on rollback netcode and cross-play issues. The studio says further fixes for other reported problems are also underway, and that it is focused on ensuring the game performs well at launch and beyond. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is due to release on 6th August 2026.
