If accurate, this would place the title alongside other major PlayStation releases expected that year, suggesting Sony is lining up a strong send-off for the PS5 generation before the anticipated arrival of the PS6.

Should Intergalactic arrive in 2027, it would join God of War Laufey, due on 16th February, and Until Dawn 2, also slated for that year, making for a packed slate of exclusives. Little has been shown of the Naughty Dog title so far, but Push Square's editor suggests this reflects Sony's habit of marketing only one or two games at a time, pointing to Marvel's Wolverine only ramping up promotion shortly before its 15th September release. The site speculates more details could emerge later in 2026, potentially via a State of Play or at The Game Awards in December, drawing comparisons to the PS4's strong final stretch with The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima.
