Ozlo, a sleep earbuds startup founded by former Bose engineers, has launched Sleepbuds 2, an updated version of its debut product with improvements to battery life, Bluetooth connectivity and sound quality. The launch is significant as Ozlo's first major update since its original Sleepbuds, marking the company's shift from continuing Bose's legacy sleep-tech product into building its own independent sleep platform with ambitions in AI-driven sleep data analysis.

The new buds cost $279, a 12% price rise on the original, and offer 14 hours of battery life (up from around 10), plus a charging case holding two to three nights' worth of power and a physical button for sleep sounds or snoozing alarms. Ozlo says a redesigned antenna improves Bluetooth range and reliability, addressing a common complaint about the first model, while a new amplifier, personalised sound tuning modes and a "Sleep Shield" feature to block calls and notifications round out the update. The buds also expand sleep-tracking insights, monitoring breathing, movement and room conditions such as noise, light and temperature, and ship with ear tips, a charging case and a USB-C cable, with a sleep mask and travel case offered as a launch promotion.
