Norwegian composer and pianist Vetle Nærø turned a travel mishap into a memorable performance when his electronic equipment, including synthesisers, was lost by an airline ahead of a scheduled set at the 2026 Bergtatt Festival in Norway. Rather than cancel or delay, he reworked the concert on the spot into a solo piano performance at Luster's 13th-century Dale Church, delivering what he described as a moment of "calm and connection" for the roughly 200 attendees, some of whom were moved to tears.

The mid-morning show had originally been planned as a more electronic-leaning set, but Nærø, who trained in classical piano as a child and later drew on minimalist influences such as Philip Glass and Arvo Pärt, adapted quickly once told his gear would not arrive in time. The lost equipment has since been returned to him. Nærø, born in Oslo in 2000, has released four studio albums to date, most recently All Moments Must Pass in May 2025, and is currently working on a fifth, due in 2027.
