Norwegian singer-songwriter Fay Wildhagen is preparing to release her next album independently through the Orchard, on her own label, bringing an end to a 10-year relationship with Warner Music Norway. She revealed the plans to Billboard while marking the close of the era around her third studio album, Let's Keep It In The Family, with a headline set at Norway's 2026 Bergtatt Festival, and said she already has a wealth of new demos ready to develop.

Wildhagen signed with Warner Music Norway at 21 and released her Spellemannprisen-nominated debut, Snow, in 2015, followed by Borders in 2018. She also won the Spellemannpris (the Norwegian Grammy) for producer of the year for 2023's Møtested – en hyllest til Anne Grete Preus, and spent seven years developing Let's Keep It In The Family, on which she wrote, produced and arranged all 15 tracks bar one co-write with Bigbang's Øystein Greni. She described the move to independence as a chance to "try something new" before continuing her career on her own terms.
