Phil Wickham, Brandon Lake, CeCe Winans Lead 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards Nominees: Exclusive
Nominees have been announced for the 57th annual GMA Dove Awards, which recognise the top artists and releases in Christian and Gospel music over the past year. Phil Wickham, Brandon Lake and CeCe Winans lead the field, each shortlisted in the top category, artist of the year, alongside Josiah Queen and Lauren Daigle, ahead of the ceremony taking place in Nashville later this year.
Wickham picked up nods for song of the year and worship recorded song of the year, while Winans is nominated for Gospel worship album of the year and worship recorded song of the year. Lake earned nominations across song of the year, rock/contemporary recorded song of the year, pop/contemporary album of the year and country/roots recorded song of the year. The awards, presented with the Cantinas Arts Foundation, will be held on 6 October at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, hosted for a fourth consecutive year by Tauren Wells, who is also an executive producer and a nominee himself. Behind the scenes, songwriter-producers Jonathan Smith, Jacob Sooter and Steven Furtick lead with 14, 12 and 11 nominations respectively, and this year's ceremony carries the theme "Together For One."
