Amazon MGM Studios has released the trailer for its new remake of "The Thomas Crown Affair," marking the third screen adaptation of the classic tale of a suave art thief. The film is directed by and stars Michael B. Jordan, who reworks the character with different motivations than the earlier versions, aiming to give the heist story a more contemporary edge.

In this version, Jordan's Crown is pursued by a former FBI agent played by Adria Arjona, while Kenneth Branagh appears as a menacing villain threatening to expose him. Unlike the original 1968 film with Steve McQueen and the 1999 remake with Pierce Brosnan, Crown's thefts are driven by a desire to return stolen artefacts to their rightful owners rather than personal thrill. The film, written by Drew Pearce and produced by Jordan alongside Charles Roven, is set for release on 5 March 2027, with Jordan coming off his best actor Oscar win for "Sinners".
