Bay Area duo Sour Widows have announced their second studio album, Sigil, produced by Jay Som's Melina Duterte and due out on 23 October via Julia's War. The release follows their 2024 debut, Revival of a Friend, and the band will support the record with a North American tour alongside Squirrel Flower this autumn.

The album's lead single, "Blood in the Grass", was written by Susanna Thomson for Maya Bon of Babehoven and arrives with a found-footage-style video co-directed by Thomson and bandmate Maia Sinaiko. Sigil comprises 11 tracks, and the accompanying tour spans more than 20 dates across the US and Canada, running from 23 October to 20 November, taking in cities including St Louis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Chicago.
