Victoryland & Forth Wanderers Members Announce Debut Album As Billboard Style: Hear Their Eponymous First Single
Billboard Style, a new New York band formed by Ben Guterl of Forth Wanderers and Dan Howard of Victoryland, has announced their debut album alongside the release of its title track. The pairing brings together two acts already well-regarded in the indie scene, with both Forth Wanderers and Victoryland having previously earned Album Of The Week recognition from music site Stereogum within the past year, lending the new project notable pedigree.
The album, titled Pull Of The Moon, will be released on 16 October via the Good English label and features 11 tracks, including "Meloxicam," "Dropped" and "Waiting For The World." Its eponymous lead single is described as a distortion-heavy guitar-pop song with strong hooks, with Guterl explaining that the track explores the consuming, self-destructive nature of desire. The single is available to stream now, and pre-orders for the album have opened.
