Amazon MGM unveils first trailer for Thomas Crown Affair remake
Developing story first seen 4 hours ago
Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for its remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, starring Michael B. Jordan as a billionaire art thief who pursues theft for thrills rather than money. Jordan, who also directs and produces the film, faces off against an insurance investigator played by Adria Arjona in a cat-and-mouse plot that develops into a romance. The project has been in development for more than a decade, and its release marks a stylish, Bond-esque return for the classic heist premise.
The film is due in cinemas on 5 March 2027 and will be Jordan's second directing credit after 2023's Creed III. It is the second remake of the story, following the 1968 original with Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway and the 1999 version starring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo, which first introduced the art-theft angle Jordan's version continues. The supporting cast includes Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone and Danai Gurira, and the trailer features glamorous visuals, fast cars and a bungee-jumping sequence.
