The BBC has published an investigative report and documentary, "Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret," in which ten women make allegations of inappropriate behaviour by the actor and Thirty Seconds To Mars singer, with four alleging criminal offences said to have occurred between 2002 and 2016. This follows an Air Mail report last year in which nine women accused Leto of sexual misconduct, allegations he denied at the time. The new report builds on those earlier claims with more specific, corroborated accounts, several involving girls who were teenagers when the alleged incidents took place.

The BBC says it corroborated many of the women's accounts with friends and family they had confided in at the time, and reviewed photographs and messages consistent with their stories. Alleged incidents include a 17-year-old shop worker in Las Vegas in 2002 who says Leto exposed himself to her in a motel room; a model who says Leto, then 41, pursued her after telling him she was 17; a woman who says she had sex with Leto at his California home when she was 17 and he was 34, allegedly dismissing concerns about the state's age of consent laws; and a woman who says Leto signed a T-shirt across her breasts when she was 15 and had his bodyguard take her backstage without asking her consent. Leto has previously denied allegations of misconduct.
