The card closely mimics the in-game props used by Persona 5's protagonists, who infiltrate corrupt figures' subconscious "Mind Palaces" to steal the "Treasures" representing their selfish motives, and was posted to social media on 27 July 2026 before reaching Nishino. While the act is largely symbolic, commentators note it channels the game's rebellion-against-corruption themes to voice a real grievance shared by many players and industry observers unhappy with Sony's shift away from physical media.
