Stylish action RPG Stupid Never Dies gets release date, new trailer

Polygon · 3 hours ago

Independent studio GPTRACK50, founded by former Capcom developer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, has announced that its upcoming action-RPG Stupid Never Dies will launch on 21 October, alongside a new trailer. The reveal matters as it marks one of the studio's first major projects since its founding, and the game will now be co-published by Sega, the company behind the Persona series, giving it significant backing for its debut release.

The new trailer introduces Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers, a flamboyant, winged character of uncertain allegiance. The game itself follows Davy, a shy zombie who ranks at the bottom of a monster-ruled society, on a quest to revive a frozen human girl named Julia, customising his body with upgrades and stealing abilities from enemies such as demons, vampires and werewolves along the way. A DLC pack, TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload, will offer bonus music and visual content, and the game's soundtrack will be available to stream from 4 August, ahead of the game's release on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC.
