Reel Citrus has secured North American distribution rights to the Vietnamese period drama "Mesdames Thanh Sắc," which it will release under the English title "Madame in Saigon," through a partnership with Ho Chi Minh City-based studio Live On. The deal marks a notable expansion for Vietnamese cinema into the North American theatrical market, with Reel Citrus building a targeted release campaign around the film's star, former supermodel Thanh Hằng, aimed at Vietnamese diaspora communities across the US and Canada.

Directed by Thắng Vũ, the film is set in 1960s Saigon and follows a dancer's rise through the city's nightlife into a power struggle with a nightclub owner, played by Hồng Ánh; the cast also includes Lương Thế Thành and Văn Mai Hương. It opened in Vietnam in June and will have a Los Angeles red-carpet premiere on 26 August, followed by a wider North American release on 28 August, supported by a press junket, digital marketing and outreach to Vietnamese Student Associations. The deal is Live On's first US collaboration, while Reel Citrus, founded in 2025, has previously handled campaigns for "Leaving Mom" and "Ancestral Home," with "Summer School, 2001" due out in October.
