Claire Foy and Matthew Macfadyen will star in You Are Here, an eight-part BBC and Starz adaptation of David Nicholls’ bestselling novel. Nicholls has written the series, with Lenny Abrahamson directing and Element Pictures producing, bringing together a high-profile team behind a new British romantic drama.
Foy and Macfadyen play Marnie and Michael, who begin an unexpected relationship after setting out on a coast-to-coast walk in northern England. The production will film in the Lake District and around Manchester; Fremantle holds international sales rights, while both stars will executive produce alongside Nicholls, Abrahamson and BBC and Element representatives.

The eight-part programme will be made by Element Pictures, a production company behind Normal People, with director Lenny Abrahamson also involved. Its setting in the Lake District and northern England makes the landscape part of the story as the two central characters travel together.
