GTA 6 news coming in August, leaker says, as more evidence points to the game’s official website getting a backend update

Eurogamer · 4 hours ago

An industry insider has suggested that Rockstar may share a significant amount of Grand Theft Auto 6 news in August, while recent changes to the game’s official website have fuelled speculation that an announcement is being prepared. The claim is unconfirmed, but it matters because Rockstar has released little new material since the latest trailer and fans are awaiting further details before the game’s November launch.

GTA 6 pre-orders opened on 25 June, revealing standard and Ultimate editions without a new trailer; the last trailer appeared in May 2025. A GTA community tracker detected several backend website updates, although later inspection indicated they were likely performance improvements rather than new public assets. Rockstar has not announced a delay: GTA 6 remains scheduled for 19 November on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with no PC version confirmed.

  • An insider expects substantial GTA 6 news in August.
  • Website updates sparked speculation but may be routine performance work.
  • GTA 6 is still due on 19 November.
