Norrie beats Duckworth to reach Los Cabos quarters
Cameron Norrie reached the Los Cabos Open quarter-finals after beating Australia’s James Duckworth 6-4 6-4. The British number two has now won two matches this week after arriving in Mexico on a six-match losing run, and will next face Bernard Tomic.
Norrie recovered from 3-0 down in the first set and broke Duckworth twice in the second before holding off a late challenge to serve out the match. As the fifth seed, he is now the second-highest ranked player remaining after top seed Jiri Lehecka and fourth seed Karen Khachanov were both beaten.
