Razer’s Huntsman V3 HE is the company’s first Hall Effect keyboard, marking a shift from its longstanding focus on optical switches in response to demand for magnetic-switch technology. It takes a deliberately straightforward approach, prioritising Hall Effect switches, high polling rates and extensive software customisation over experimental features, but its uneven typing feel and occasional bugs limit its polish.

The keyboard’s 40-gram switches are generally smooth, lightly weighted and relatively stable, although some feel over-lubricated and return slightly slowly. Its tray-mounted construction produces minor variations in key stiffness and sound, while the spacebar is a particular weakness: foam intended to reduce hollowness can make the stroke feel squishy and muted. The review credits improved acoustics over the optical Huntsman V3, alongside RGB lighting, repairability and switch compatibility, but notes wired-only use and a plastic lower case.
