Folk singer-songwriter Linda Perhacs has been found safe after friends, family and collaborators reported her missing when they were unable to contact her. The case drew concern because Perhacs has dementia and had reportedly left a residential care facility with a legal guardian, making confirmation of her welfare especially important.

Her former manager, Laurel Stearns, said law enforcement had confirmed that Perhacs was safe, while an update on the singer’s Instagram said she had moved to a new care facility. Supporters were thanked for their help, but were asked to respect her privacy as she settles into care.
