Like Capcom, Konami wants to give its biggest franchise annual releases
Konami says it aims to release a new Silent Hill game every year as part of its effort to re-establish itself in mainstream gaming. The strategy mirrors Capcom’s approach to Resident Evil, mixing new mainline games and remakes to maintain a regular presence between major entries.
Silent Hill 2’s remake launched in 2024, Silent Hill f followed in 2025, and Silent Hill: Townfall is expected in 2026. Producer Motoi Okamoto said Konami is developing several titles simultaneously to demonstrate its renewed commitment; a Silent Hill 1 remake by Bloober Team is also in development and could arrive in 2027.
