US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has launched a YouTube cooking programme, The Real Food Show, as part of his “Make America Healthy Again” campaign. The series aims to promote affordable cooking with whole, minimally processed ingredients, extending the administration’s broader effort to reshape federal dietary guidance.

In the first episode, Kennedy cooks crispy salmon cakes and a salad with chef Andrew Gruel, using ingredients presented as suitable for most budgets. The show follows HHS’s January overhaul of its food pyramid, which prioritised meat, chicken, cheese, fruit and vegetables over grains; Kennedy has also said he follows a carnivore diet centred on meat and fermented foods.
