Wolf Alice have released their cover of The Roches’ 1979 folk ballad “Hammond Song”, featuring Bria Salmena and Sunflower Bean’s Julia Cumming. The release previews *The Clearing (B Sides)*, an expanded companion edition to the band’s previous album, and brings together three singers for a song renowned for its closely woven vocal harmonies.

The original was produced by Robert Fripp and is regarded as a standout example of The Roches’ vocal interplay. Stereogum’s Chris DeVille says Wolf Alice’s version retains the song’s tenderness, while being less otherworldly than the original; *The Clearing (B Sides)* is due out on 21 August via RCA.
