Morgan Wallen Repeats Rare Top-Two Takeover on Country Airplay Chart
Morgan Wallen has again held the top two positions on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, a rare achievement that underlines his continued dominance on US country radio. “Don’t We” remained at No. 1 for a second week, while his collaboration with Ella Langley, “I Can’t Love You Anymore”, stayed at No. 2, making Wallen the first artist to achieve this feat in multiple separate runs lasting more than one week.
“Don’t We” recorded 33.6 million audience impressions in the week ending 30 July, compared with 32.5 million for “I Can’t Love You Anymore”. Wallen has now spent six weeks occupying both top places, after a four-week run in July 2024; only Luke Bryan and Luke Combs have also simultaneously held the chart’s top two. His new single “Been by Now” debuted at No. 13 with 14.7 million impressions, becoming just the seventh song in the chart’s 36-year history to enter that high.
