Pascal Laugier’s 2008 French horror film Martyrs is receiving separate standard-edition 4K UHD and Blu-ray releases in the UK ahead of Halloween. The reissue matters because the film is widely associated with the graphic, psychologically intense New French Extremity movement and remains a notable, controversial entry in modern horror.

The releases are available to pre-order and are due on 19 October 2026; the 4K UHD edition will be region-free for compatible players. Martyrs follows Lucie, a survivor seeking revenge on those who abused her as a child, and her friend Anna, who discovers a secret society torturing people in pursuit of evidence of an afterlife.
