Formed in 1992 by Justine Frischmann and Justin Welch with Donna Matthews and Annie Holland, Elastica became a defining Britpop act after their debut topped the UK Albums Chart and produced songs including ‘Connection’ and ‘Stutter’. Their second and final album, ‘The Menace’, arrived in 2000 before the band split in 2001; previous reunion speculation in 2017 did not lead to a full return.
