Japanese metal band Sigh have released a video for “Unputenpu”, the first single from their forthcoming studio album, “Goh-ka”. The track features a guest guitar lead from Opeth’s Mikael Åkerfeldt, while frontman Mirai Kawashima says its lyrics reflect the uncontrollable nature of fortune, loss and death.

“Goh-ka” is described as a roughly hour-long, highly arranged album blending metal with psychedelic, progressive and classical influences. Its title carries meanings linked to infernal fire, apocalypse and karma, and its central concept draws on Buddhist “Kuso-zu” artworks depicting bodily decomposition; the album also features bassist Frédéric Leclercq and drummer Mike Heller, and was mixed and mastered by Lasse Lammert.
