Ex-Sunderland and Chelsea striker seals Sheffield Wednesday move after promotion-winning season – Sunderland Echo
Mason Burstow, the former Chelsea forward who also spent time on loan at Sunderland, has agreed to join Sheffield Wednesday. The move gives Wednesday another young attacking option as they prepare for a promotion campaign, while offering Burstow a chance to establish himself after a varied early career.
Burstow came through at Chelsea and made a short-term loan move to Sunderland during the second half of the 2023–24 season, before later playing a role in a promotion-winning campaign with Wrexham. He subsequently joined Hull City, and has also represented England at under-20 level, earning two caps.
