Spider-Man: Brand New Day has confirmed a $927 million worldwide opening, retaining its position as the second-biggest global debut in box office history, behind only Avengers: Endgame's $1.22 billion and ahead of Avengers: Infinity War's $640.5 million. The figure, drawn from roughly 90,000 screens worldwide, sets a franchise-best global opening for Spider-Man, surpassing No Way Home's $600.5 million, and marks career-high debuts for star Zendaya, director Daniel Destin Cretton and Sony as a studio, underlining the film's exceptionally strong appeal to general audiences rather than just committed fans.

International markets supplied $572 million of the total from 66 territories and 73,500 screens, with China topping the list at $121 million, the biggest post-Covid opening for a Marvel title there. Records fell across multiple regions, including India ($31.8 million, the biggest-ever Hollywood opening there), France ($26.6 million), Brazil ($23.8 million) and Spain ($15.6 million), while the UK opened to $49 million, the third-highest UK debut on record. The film also broke opening records across Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, unseating Bad Boys: Ride or Die in the Middle East, with further strong debuts in Mexico ($38.3 million, #2 all-time), Australia ($21.4 million, #2 all-time) and South Korea ($25.0 million).

  • Confirmed $927M global opening, second-best ever behind Avengers: Endgame
  • Franchise record for Spider-Man; career-best for Zendaya, Cretton, Sony
  • Records broken in China, India, UK, Mexico, Australia and more
