Olivia Rodrigo joined The Smashing Pumpkins on stage during their headline set at Lollapalooza in Chicago on Friday 31 July, performing "Thirty-Three" from the band's 1995 album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. It is the latest in a series of collaborations Rodrigo has made with veteran 1990s rock acts, continuing a pattern of high-profile festival guest appearances that boost her cross-generational appeal.

Rodrigo was not the only guest at the show: former Smashing Pumpkins member and Hole bassist Melissa Auf der Maur appeared for "The Everlasting Gaze", while Yungblud opened proceedings by singing "Luna" with frontman Billy Corgan. Rodrigo has further engagements ahead, including her own all-female Daisy Chain Fields festival in Irvine, California on 29 August, featuring Bikini Kill, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Stevie Nicks and Mitski, plus her Unraveled Tour launching in early 2027 to support her latest album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.
