Trueno and Milo J closed out the 2026 Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) with a sold-out, free performance at Central Park's SummerStage in New York on Saturday 1 August, capping a week of milestones for Latin music highlighted by Billboard. The Argentine artists offered contrasting but complementary styles, with Trueno's hard-edged, old-school rap delivery paired against Milo J's genre-blending sound rooted in South American folk traditions, underlining the breadth and growing global reach of Spanish-language music.

Nineteen-year-old Milo J performed tracks from his album La Vida Era Más Corta, backed by flute, charango and percussion, blending rap with folkloric styles such as chacarera and zamba, before joining Trueno for a duet of "Pumas". Trueno, drawing on material from his album TURR4ZO, brought battle-rap energy and waved an Argentine flag amid strong crowd interaction, while Dominican rapper J Noa opened the show. The event coincided with a LAMC panel where Billboard's Leila Cobo cited Luminate data showing Spanish is now the second-most consumed language in global music, with one in ten US listeners tuning into Spanish-language music.
