Ariana Grande's new album "Petal" was voted the favourite new music release of the week in a Billboard reader poll, beating out new releases from Cardi B, Davido, Slayyyter and others. The 12-track LP, released on 31 July, marks Grande's follow-up to 2024's "Eternal Sunshine," which spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard 200, and arrived alongside a satirical music video in which she plays an actress struggling to please critics.

Petal secured 41% of the vote, well ahead of Erick Brian, Dale Pututi & Nesty's "Efímero" in second place with 26%, and Cardi B's "AH HA" in third with 18%. The album's title track is its second single, following the chart-topping "Hate That I Made You Live Me," and its release coincided with reports that Grande plans to step back from public life once her Eternal Sunshine tour concludes.
