Warner Music Group Q3 Revenue Up 10% on Double-Digit Streaming Growth

Billboard · 4 hours ago

Warner Music Group (WMG) reported preliminary figures on Monday 3 August showing quarterly revenue up 10% to nearly $1.9 billion, driven by strong digital and streaming growth, for the quarter ended 30 June 2026. The company released the estimated results earlier than planned, having originally intended to report on 6 August, after announcing on Friday 31 July that chief financial officer and chief operating officer Armin Zerza was stepping down immediately, with chief accounting officer Louis Dickler taking over as acting CFO and Warner Records co-chairman Tom Corson becoming COO.

Recorded music revenue rose 10% to about $1.5 billion and music publishing revenue rose 12% to $377 million, both figures unaudited and prior to intersegment eliminations. Digital revenue climbed 11% to roughly $1.25 billion, with recorded music streaming revenue up 12% to just over $1 billion, driven by 12% subscription growth and 10% ad-supported growth. Operating income jumped 80% to $305 million and adjusted OIBDA rose 16% to $433 million, partly reflecting restructuring savings, while operating cash flow more than tripled to about $142 million. WMG reaffirmed its full-year targets and said complete results will be released on Wednesday 5 August, with shares up 0.67% at $26.14 on Monday morning.

  • WMG's Q3 revenue rose 10% to nearly $1.9 billion on strong streaming growth.
  • Early release followed sudden CFO/COO departure and leadership reshuffle.
  • Operating income surged 80%; full results due 5 August.
