Palace sign Tottenham defender Bartrip

BBC Sport · 5 hours ago

Crystal Palace have signed Tottenham Hotspur defender Molly Bartrip for an undisclosed fee, strengthening their squad ahead of their return to the Women's Super League. The move reunites the 30-year-old with former Spurs captain Bethany England, who has also joined Palace this summer as the club builds for life back in the top flight after promotion.

Bartrip has agreed a three-year deal, having spent five seasons at Tottenham where she made more than 100 appearances and was named vice-captain in 2023. She featured in every game during the 2024-25 campaign and was part of the Spurs side that reached the Women's FA Cup final for the first time in 2024. Palace secured promotion after finishing second in the Championship last season, and have also brought in WSL 2's top scorer from last season, Lexi Lloyd-Smith, as part of a busy transfer window.
