Shudder has announced "V/H/S/MIXTAPE", the ninth instalment in its long-running found-footage horror anthology franchise, which will centre on music, rhythm and sound as sources of terror. The film is set to stream on Shudder from 9 October 2026 and features contributions from Ghost frontman Tobias Forge, who directs a music video segment marking his filmmaking debut, alongside a genre-bending mix of segments from established and emerging directors.

The anthology brings together segments from filmmaker Ernest Dickerson, hip-hop artist RZA, director David Moreau and Renee Zhan, whose work includes puppets created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop. It also includes music video interludes from Flying Lotus and Tobias Forge, plus a featured appearance from shock-metal band GWAR. The release follows "V/H/S/Halloween", which became Shudder and AMC+'s most-watched exclusive premiere of 2025 and drove the platform's biggest acquisition weekend of the year.
