Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's 2020 hit "WAP" has been certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America, marking the song's sales and streaming equivalent surpassing 10 million units in the US. Both artists celebrated the milestone on social media, with Cardi calling it proof that "we really did that" and Megan responding with thanks for the collaboration. The certification is notable as it gives Cardi a fourth diamond single, the most of any female rapper in history, while marking Megan's first diamond record.

"WAP" was released in August 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic and became the first female rap collaboration to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, spending four non-consecutive weeks atop the chart. Its music video, which features an appearance from Kylie Jenner, has amassed over 583 million views, and the pair have performed the song live together, including at the 2021 Grammy Awards and Cardi's 2022 Wireless Festival set. The news comes as Cardi continues promoting new music, having released her single "Ah Ha" on 31 July, her first since 2025's album Am I the Drama?.
