The Busan Story Market (BSM), part of the Asian Contents & Film Market at the Busan International Film Festival, has announced its 25 official selections for 2026, drawing on original intellectual property from four Asian countries. The lineup includes work by international bestselling author Hwang Bo-reum and two-time Hans Christian Andersen Award finalist Lee Geum-yi, and matters because it connects books, webtoons, web novels and other IP with buyers seeking film and television adaptation rights.

The selections comprise 15 titles from Korea, four each from Taiwan and Japan, and two from Indonesia. Hwang Bo-reum's "My Upstairs Neighbours" and Lee Geum-yi's "Chasm of Sorrow" feature among the Korean picks, chosen from 138 submissions by 83 companies and spanning genres such as romance, mystery, fantasy and family drama. Taiwan's four titles were selected with the Taiwan Creative Content Agency, while Japan's four came via the Visual Industry Promotion Organization, with all works taking part in pitching sessions and business meetings aimed at securing adaptation deals.
