DJI’s Mic Mini 2S is the first in its Mini lineup that can record your audio internally

Engadget · 4 hours ago

DJI has launched the Mic Mini 2S, the first mic in its compact "Mini" lineup to offer internal 32-bit float audio recording, addressing a key gap that had put off some professional users. The added feature gives video creators a reliable backup recording stored directly on the microphone, reducing the risk of losing usable audio if levels are set incorrectly during a shoot.

Each transmitter now weighs 12 grams, slightly more than its predecessor's 11 grams, due to 14.5GB of built-in storage capable of holding around 28 hours of 24-bit audio or roughly 21 hours of 32-bit float audio. The device retains features such as AI noise cancellation, clipping control, loudness balancing and tone presets, and one receiver can pair with up to four transmitters simultaneously. It works with DJI's OsmoAudio Direct Connection on select cameras, as well as any device with a 3.5mm input or smartphones via an adapter, and its charging case provides around 42 hours of total operating time.
