10 Lingering Questions I Have After ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
An article from Collider poses ten unresolved questions following the release of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," the fourth instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man series starring Tom Holland and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. The piece reflects on plot threads left open by the film's ending and post-credits scene, exploring how they might shape the character's future within the wider MCU, including the forthcoming "Avengers: Doomsday" and "Avengers: Secret Wars."
Among the questions raised: whether Peter Parker will appear in "Avengers: Doomsday" or only in "Avengers: Secret Wars" given his absence from trailers so far; the significance of MJ's new boyfriend, played by Eman Esfandi, and his potential role in future storylines; and who might now control the criminal underworld following the arrest of Wilson Fisk in "Daredevil: Born Again" and the defeat of Tombstone, given that Spider-Man has dismantled nearly every major crime syndicate in the city.

- Article speculates on MJ's new boyfriend and the underworld's future leader
Explained simply
Spider-Man is the superhero identity of Peter Parker, a New York student whose life is shaped by his responsibilities to friends and family as well as his role as a crime-fighter. Tom Holland plays Peter in Marvel’s series of films set within the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which brings together characters and stories from across the franchise.
The story’s future also connects with other MCU films and series. Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, is a powerful New York crime figure, while Tombstone is another major criminal; events involving them can affect who holds influence in the city. MJ is Peter’s former girlfriend, and her relationships and the people around her are part of his personal story.
