The Hollywood Reporter's Angie Han has reviewed Sterling Point, a new Amazon Prime Video young-adult drama premiering on 5 August 2026, praising it for bringing fresh wit and warmth to a familiar genre of coming-of-age summer stories. Created by Megan Park and produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (of The O.C. and Gossip Girl fame), the show is singled out for its strong young cast and unexpected emotional depth, despite following recognisable genre beats such as love triangles and buried family secrets.

The series follows Annie (Ella Rubin), an ambitious New Yorker who, after being rejected from a prestigious Wharton programme and learning of her estranged grandfather's death, impulsively travels to a lakeside property she has inherited near Ontario's Lake Muskoka. There she uncovers family secrets, navigates romantic entanglements with two boys, Ellis (Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie) and Rory (Daniel Quinn-Toye), and forms an unexpectedly central bond with a mysterious stranger, Ramona (Amélie Hoeferle).
