Linkin Park will release "Unshatter," a documentary directed by founding member Joe Hahn, in cinemas from 30 September, alongside a companion trailer showing the band's 2024 São Paulo concert and behind-the-scenes interviews. The film traces the group's journey back to performing following the death of singer Chester Bennington in 2017, covering their 2022 recording sessions through to their comeback with new vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain. Hahn said the project began as a straightforward concert film but evolved once he realised a bigger story was unfolding, and he wanted to preserve the genuine uncertainty the band felt rather than present a tidied-up retrospective.
The documentary draws on archive footage, live performances and fan interviews, spanning the making of the band's 2024 album "From Zero" to their São Paulo show. Tickets go on sale on 13 August, and an accompanying live album, "Unshatter Film Soundtrack (Live in São Paulo)," is due out on 25 September, featuring songs from across the band's catalogue as well as tracks from the concert not included in the film itself.
