Marathon patch notes today – Update 1.1.5.2: Vault Breaker extended
Bungie has released a new patch for its shooter Marathon, update 1.1.5.2, which extends the limited-time Vault Breaker PvE mode and makes several weapon adjustments. The extension gives players until 18 August to try the experimental mode, providing more time for testing ahead of the full PvE experience due in September, while the weapon changes aim to improve overall balance and player experience.
Key changes include a damage boost for the V22 Volt Thrower, from 12.6 to 14.4, alongside tweaks to its tracking speed decay and heat management, plus an increased base magazine size for the KKV-9SD, from 23 to 28 rounds. The update also re-enables the V85 Circuit Breaker's Prestige quality Overclocked Delimiter mod after fixing a stability issue, corrects unintended reputation and XP gains from repeatedly opening the Cryo Hatch, and fixes issues with Rewards Pass purchases and Store bundle displays.
- Marathon's Vault Breaker PvE mode extended to 18 August.
- V22 Volt Thrower buffed; KKV-9SD magazine size increased.
- Various bug fixes address XP exploits and store display issues.
