New York-based singer-songwriter June McDoom has signed to Jagjaguwar and announced her debut album, Follow The Light, due out on 16 October. Known for blending Jamaican reggae and folk influences absorbed during her South Florida upbringing with jazz training from her time in New York, McDoom has built up a following through EPs since 2022 and collaborations with artists such as Nick Hakim and Brittany Howard.

The 12-track album was recorded with her partner and regular collaborator Evan Wright, and is led by the single "Without You", accompanied by a video directed by Bing Cao. McDoom has described the song as being about the realisation of how meaningless life can feel without loved ones, with the arrangement designed to mirror that emotional journey. She will support the release with a run of UK and US tour dates between September and December, including stops at End of the Road Festival in Salisbury and shows in London, Brooklyn, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
