How to find and use Portal Pod in Pokopia

Destructoid · 4 hours ago

Pokopia, the Bubbly Basin expansion, has introduced the Portal Pod, a linked storage device that lets players access the same stored items from any region in the game, solving the long-standing problem of regular chests not connecting to one another. The item requires a minimum of two units to work as intended, and getting hold of it earlier rather than later is said to significantly ease the overall gameplay experience.

Players can obtain a Portal Pod by finding two of them hidden in Bubbly Basin, by copying an existing one at a Pokémon Center for five rare Pokémetal Ingots, or by buying the recipe from the Palette Town shop for 3,000 Coins once the environment level there is raised. The two wild Portal Pods sit in a small underwater building in the region's north-east corner, one visible in the main room and a second behind a hidden staircase. Once two are placed, items stored in one become instantly retrievable from the other, and further pods can be added to extend connected storage across all explorable regions.
