FuboTV Shrinks Third Quarter Loss on Sharply Higher Revenues After World Cup
FuboTV narrowed its third-quarter net loss and reported sharply higher revenue, buoyed by strong viewership during the FIFA World Cup 2026 and NBA Finals. The results mark the first quarterly report since the streaming service completed its merger with Disney's Hulu + Live TV, with Alisa Bowen now installed as chief executive after leaving her post as president of Disney+.
The company reported total revenue of $1.48 billion, up from $1.07 billion a year earlier, while its net loss shrank to $25.7 million from $38 million in the same period last year, though on a pro forma basis reflecting the Hulu merger the loss rose to $72 million. Subscriber numbers grew to 5.75 million across North America, up from 5.63 million a year ago and 5.73 million in the previous quarter. Adjusted EBITDA came in at $19.1 million, down from a pro forma $31 million a year earlier. Bowen credited the gains to strong subscriber acquisition around major sporting events and said she plans to focus on expanding packaging options and distribution going forward.
