Charli xcx has been shortlisted for best original song at the 2026 World Soundtrack Awards for "House", her contribution to Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights adaptation. The nomination, announced by Film Fest Gent and the World Soundtrack Academy, comes ahead of the Oscar nominations on 21 January, raising the question of whether recognition here could signal further awards attention for the film's soundtrack.

"House", co-written by Charli xcx with John Cale, Nathan Klein and Finn Keane, is up against songs from four other 2025 films, including the Oscar-winning "Golden" from KPop Demon Hunters and the Oscar-nominated "Train Dreams". Icelandic composer Hildur Guðnadóttir received a double nomination, competing for best original song with "Stolen Tale" from Hedda and for film composer of the year alongside Alexandre Desplat, Jonny Greenwood and Max Richter. A second wave of nominations is due on 3 September, with the ceremony taking place on 10 October in Ghent, Belgium, during Film Fest Gent.
