Polygon has published a guide detailing every armor location in the game Beast of Reincarnation, aimed at helping players find better defensive gear as they progress through the story. Since the game features only a single armor slot, choosing the right body armour matters significantly, with each piece offering different defence values, elemental resistances and spirit stone slots that grant passive bonuses such as increased attack power or health recovery.

Players begin with the Light Gambeson before finding progressively stronger armour sets across the game's zones, including the Ogouchi Buffer Zone, Ancient Civilization Zone, The Great Wall Terraces and the Pilgrim's Zone. The guide notes that armour also carries an "enemy awareness" stat indicating how easily foes will detect the wearer, and recommends always keeping the latest set equipped as the linear story advances.

– Chain Mail – found in a strongbox at the Cliff-Facing Tower, Ogouchi Buffer Zone (25 defence, extreme enemy awareness)
– Thick Cuirass – Tunnel Ruins, Ancient Civilization Zone, requires defeating a large red golem (29 defence)
– Garb of Tranquility – hidden in a rusty pipe near the Ruins Slope (23 defence, nonexistent enemy awareness)
– Insulating Mail – in an ivy-covered shack, Mountain Village, Great Wall Terraces (32 defence)
– Floral Wraps – near the Old Sagami Colony, reached after crossing a broken bridge (31 defence, six spirit stone slots)
– Leather Garb – found near the Cave Depths campsite, Pilgrim's Zone (34 defence)
– Scale Coat – located near the Ruins: Approach campsite, Matsukawa Zone (37 defence)
