Bully Performs Intimate Solo Performance at Consequence and Lagunitas’ Free Concert: Photos + Recap

At a sold-out July edition of Lagunitas' Live at Lagunitas concert series, co-hosted with Consequence, singer Alicia Bognanno of the band Bully delivered an impromptu solo headline set after a bandmate suffered a medical emergency, forcing a change from the planned full-band show. The unexpected format made it Bognanno's first solo performance since 2023 and her longest ever unaccompanied set, turning a potential setback into what she called an unforgettable night for both her and the audience.

The evening opened with San Diego shoegaze act Misfire SD, followed by rising California rockers wilt, who included a cover of t.A.T.u's "All the Things She Said." Bognanno then played roughly 60 minutes across 10 songs, switching between guitar and piano through favourites such as "All I Do," "Lose You" and "Atom Bomb," previewed unreleased tracks from an upcoming album, and closed with a cover of Mazzy Star's "Fade into You." Proceeds from VIP ticket sales and a dollar from every Lagunitas PILS beer sold went to the San Francisco SPCA, reflecting Bognanno's known support for animal welfare causes.
